【摘要】 A lot of improvement, research, and growth has taken place in the 3D printing industry over the decades. The technology of 3D printing has evolved throughout time as a result of its rising utilization and popularity. To produce better-quality 3D prints, the 3D printing industry has developed a variety of features and fixtures, including heated printing beds, Bowden extruders, and print bed enclosures. Cartesian 3D printers operate similarly to a CNC machining center, specifically containing the up and down motion of either the print bed or extruder. Another 3D printer configuration is a Delta 3D printer, which has a stationary build platform and uses three motors located on pillars controlling the end-effector location. Consists of a 3D printer extruder with three fixed triangle points that is mounted on a circular print bed. To position the print head where it needs to be to print, each of these three locations may move up and down within the cylinder print structure. With the advent of Polar 3D printers, one of the most significant and obvious modifications to 3D printers has occurred. Despite the fact that this printer is still believed to be in its infancy, 3D printing experts are beginning to see its potential benefits. The design and operation of these printer types significantly diverged from those of the conventional Cartesian and Delta 3D printers. The main aim is to showcase the potential that this polar 3D printer offers better flexibility, reduced cost, and large build volume for printing because of its design, even though the design is simple and compact. In addition, to endorse open science with the application of improved experimental techniques while discussing its limitations.

【标题】Role of Feedback in the Asymptotic Self-Repair Behavior of a 3D Printer

【摘要】 An experiment where a 3D printer attempts to repair itself by printing a sequence of increasing-in-quality parts is presented and analyzed. Perturbations are added to some parts of the mechanical structures in the printer to simulate damaged or worn-out parts. Mathematical modeling and simulations are used to predict the asymptotic behavior of the self-repair process after many repair attempts. We show that - in most cases - the system converges to a non-ideal state and validations are presented. Finally, a controller is designed and added to the system, and its benefits to the self-repair process are studied.

【摘要】 Vocational education and training in Germany are distinguished by the separation of training groups of different learning levels. In chef training, theoretical teaching content is mainly conveyed using lectures and textbooks. The abstract presentations and texts are not suitable for inclusive education. By pursuing a design science research process, a digital-analog learning application was developed for trainees with and without mental impairment. The tangible prototype for teaching meat cutting from pork was evaluated using 7 participants (trainee chef, trainee kitchen assistants and employees in the kitchen of a sheltered workshop) in an inclusive teaching setting with a mixed-method approach. The usability was evaluated with a User Experience Questionnaire, the results of which were positive. The learning outcomes using the 3D model were surveyed by means of a qualitative questionnaire and showed a high level of potential among all target groups. Two unstructured classroom observations documented the social interaction of the trainees. The learning application facilitates learning and promotes collaborative work.
